First and foremost, I'm a writer, and like most writers I've been doing it since my school days. Then I'm an activist. Then I'm a fundraiser. The past ten years of my working life will help to explain. For the past five years, I've worked with Harvey McKinnon Associates. Harvey has raised millions of dollars for hundreds of great causes around the world. For the five years prior to that, I worked with The Media Foundation, better known as publisher of Adbusters Magazine. I did many things at Adbusters, eventually focusing on communications and development. So who am I? What do I do? I guess I'm an uncompromising activist who uses his writing skills to raise money for organizations that make the world (in my view, at least) a better place. You should note that I have a wide repertoire. I've written fundraising letters for international development organizations and for hospitals; for the environment and for human rights. So whether you're cleaning a polluted stream, or toppling a fascist regime - Count me in! I'd love to help.
